Manchester United will not pay more than £50m for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer. The England international is a top target for the Red Devils. Sancho fits United’s new transfer philosophy of signing young, British talent.
United are hoping to land both Sancho and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish this summer.
However, Dortmund’s £100m-plus asking price for Sancho was a problem for United.
And according to Sky Sports, United will not pay over £50m for the forward.
Senior Old Trafford figures are refusing to budge on their decision due to the effect the coronavirus pandemic has had on clubs.
It’s claimed ex-Manchester City ace Sancho is keen to return to the Premier League.
A lot has been made of United’s interest in Sancho, with former Premier League ace Danny Mills claiming the winger should be wary of heading to Old Trafford.
“If I was Jadon Sancho I’d be wanting to ask the questions: ‘Who else are you bringing in?’” Mills said.
