Underdogs Atalanta have crashed out of the Champions League after suffering a 2-1 painful stoppage time defeat to Paris Saint Germain.
PSG booked a place in the last four after staging a dramatic comeback to win 2-1 on Wednesday night, August 12.
However, PSG would have themselves to blame for being wasteful in the final third in the opening exchanges of the clash.
Neymar twice went close, but the Brazilian star squandered both chances as Atalanta kept PSG at bay.
The Serie A side went on to take the lead in the 26th minute through Mario Pašalić who broke the deadlock with a beautiful curled effort.
The restart saw the French giants begin the match aggressively, but it was Atalanta who nearly doubled their advantage in the 60th minute through Djimsiti.

It was in the closing stages of the clash PSG showed more intent of pulling a comeback as Neymar troubled Atalanta up front in a serious tough encounter.
And when the Italian side appeared to have nicked it, Marquinhos equalized out of nothing, proding home from Neymar’s cross in the 90th minute.
Choupo-Moting went on to win it for PSG at stoppage time, ramming the ball to the back of the net from Kylian Mbappe’s pass.
The win means Thomas Tuchel’s men are through to the semis, ending their modern-day quarter-final curse.
